These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the MenuScanner iOS application ("the App"), operated by Josh Jarrett. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
By accessing or using MenuScanner, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.
MenuScanner is an AI-powered mobile application that allows users to scan restaurant menus using their device's camera and receive health-focused analysis of menu items. The App uses artificial intelligence to estimate nutritional information, identify potential allergens, and provide general dietary insights. The App also provides location-based restaurant discovery to help you find healthy dining options nearby.
MenuScanner offers auto-renewable subscription plans to unlock premium features:
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your Apple ID account settings on your device or in the App Store after purchase.
Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Prices are in USD and may vary by region. Price changes will be communicated in advance.
Important: All health, nutrition, and dietary information provided by MenuScanner is generated by artificial intelligence and is estimated, not verified. This information is provided for general informational purposes only and should not be considered medical advice, nutritional counseling, or a substitute for professional healthcare guidance.
You should always consult a qualified healthcare provider or registered dietitian before making dietary decisions, especially if you have food allergies, intolerances, or medical conditions. MenuScanner does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated analysis.
When using MenuScanner, you agree to:
All content, features, and functionality of MenuScanner, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are the property of Josh Jarrett and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without prior written consent.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Josh Jarrett and MenuScanner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App. This includes, without limitation, any damages resulting from reliance on AI-generated nutritional or health information.
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
All subscription purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted through Apple's support channels. We do not process refunds directly. For assistance, visit Apple's refund page.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason. You may also delete your account at any time from within the App. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel active subscriptions — you must cancel your subscription through your Apple ID settings.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting updated Terms within the App and updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
